3 years agoSan Francisco Giants pitcher Sammy Long did not have a successful second appearance in Tuesday's 9-8 win over the Diamondbacks. Long served as the follower in this game, although he entered the game in the first inning with runners on first and second, no outs, and down by four. Long pitched 5 innings, allowing four runs on five hits and a walk with three strikeouts. The 25-year-old's first traditional start went well, so it will be interesting to see how he fares in his next traditional start, which could be this upcoming weekend against the Phillies at home.
