Sammy Long Pitches Two Scoreless Innings In Wednesday Return
3 years agoSan Francisco Giants pitcher Sammy Long fired two scoreless innings in relief during Wednesday's 8-0 loss to the Dodgers. He allowed two hits and a walk with two strikeouts. This was Long's first appearance with the Dodgers since early July, when he landed on the injured list with a lower back strain. The 26-year-old did make a few starts earlier in the season. However, he will likely continue to work out of the bullpen given his 5.19 ERA and the fact that the Giants' rotation is currently healthier than it was. That being said, fantasy managers in dynasty leagues may want to keep an eye on him in case he eventually gets another chance to start.
