Samaje Perine Injures Thumb On Wednesday
1 year agoDenver Broncos running back Samaje Perine left practice on Wednesday because of a thumb injury. However, head coach Sean Payton downplayed the situation, stating, "I'm sure he'll be fine." Perine, who signed a two-year, $7.5 million deal in the offseason, totaled 133 touches for 681 yards and six touchdowns with the Bengals last season. With Javonte Williams (knee) uncertain for Week 1, Perine is expected to serve as the top back in the interim. Fortunately, the regular season is still months away, but it's still not ideal for the Broncos. Undoubtedly, fantasy managers are hoping for a positive update in the next day or so.
