Sam Reinhart, Panthers Keen On Extension
10 months agoFlorida Panthers forward Sam Reinhart is poised to earn an extension from the team this offseason. NHL insider Pierre LeBrun has reported that the two parties have a "strong mutual desire" to work out an extension after the upcoming 2024 Stanley Cup Final. Reinhart is finishing off a three-year, $19.5 million deal and would be the top free agent on the market if Florida doesn't find a way to extend him ahead of July 1. The 28-year-old is set to cash in big after scoring a career-high 57 goals and leading the league in power-play markers. Reinhart, who turns 29 in November, was also close to hitting the 100-point mark for the first time in his career, adding 37 assists across 82 regular-season appearances.
