Sam Montembeault Starts For Canadiens Tuesday
1 day agoMontreal Canadiens goaltender Sam Montembeault will make his 37th start of the season in Tuesday's tilt against the Winnipeg Jets. Jakub Dobes has been very impressive in the Canadiens crease, going 5-0-1 in his first six career appearances, but Montreal has decided to go with Montembeault for Tuesday's tough matchup. Winnipeg has lost only 15 games all year and is tied for the league lead with 71 points. Montembeault will enter Tuesday's contest with a 17-17-3 record. He has allowed 2.99 goals with a .899 save percentage and three shutouts. This is a difficult matchup for Montembeault, although Montreal has been excellent at home lately, with a record of 6-1-2.
