Sam LaPorta Catches All Five Targets In NFL Debut
1 year agoDetroit Lions rookie tight end Sam LaPorta caught all five of his targets for 39 yards in the Week 1 win over the Kansas City Chiefs. The Iowa product had an 83% snap share in his NFL debut, meaning he's locked in as the clear starting tight end for quarterback Jared Goff in 2023. While rookie tight ends usually fail to deliver in fantasy football, his Week 1 metrics were promising. Next week, the Lions have a game against the Seattle Seahawks, who allowed the second-most fantasy points to tight ends last season. That said, LaPorta is in a favorable spot and should be heavily considered in fantasy lineups for Week 2.
