Sam Hilliard Goes Deep On Wednesday
4 years agoColorado Rockies outfielder Sam Hilliard was 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI during Wednesday's 9-6 win over the San Francisco Giants. The 26-year-old has had a sporadic season to date, but he is hitting .315 across his last six games. Hilliard owns a .250/.325/.500 slash line to go along with five homers, nine RBI, and three stolen bases in 72 at-bats. He is part of a messy playing-time situation in the outfield, along with Garrett Hampson and Raimel Tapia, and the Kevin Pillar acquisition only muddles things further. Until Hilliard snags a full-time role, he is solely viable in NL-only formats.
