Sam Darnold Struggles In Week 18 Win
2 years agoCarolina Panthers quarterback Sam Darnold completed five of his 15 pass attempts for 43 yards and two interceptions in a 10-7 win over the New Orleans Saints. He added 32 rushing yards on six carries. This was by far the worst performance of the year for Darnold, who finished as a top-10 fantasy quarterback in each of his last two games. Still, he managed to do just enough to end the season with a victory, leading Carolina down the field to set up a game-winning field goal from Eddy Pineiro. Darnold will finish with a respectable 4-2 record during his time as a starter this season, but Sunday's contest may have been his last as a Panther with the 25-year-old entering unrestricted free agency this offseason.
