Salvador Perez Leaves Mondays Game With Eye Issue
4 years agoKansas City Royals catcher Salvador Perez (eye) got the day off on Sunday as he was dealing with blurry vision in his left eye. He went to visit an eye specialist on Monday who determined he had a pocket of fluid formulating in his eye that would eventually disappear and essentially cleared him to play without risking a worsening situation. Perez rejoined the lineup for Monday's game. However, he was pulled in the sixth inning of Monday's game and replaced by Meibrys Viloria as he was continuing to have trouble seeing clearly out of the eye. Hopefully the problem won't linger too long for Perez, who is hitting .307 with four home runs and 12 RBI on the year.
