Sal Frelick Out On Wednesday
4 months agoMilwaukee Brewers outfielder Sal Frelick will take a seat on Wednesday for the series finale at Wrigley Field against the division-rival Chicago Cubs. With Frelick getting the day off, Blake Perkins will start in center field and bat ninth, with Garrett Mitchell moving to right field while batting sixth against Cubs left-hander Justin Steele. The 24-year-old Frelick is mainly sitting due to a left-hander being on the bump. Frelick is batting a pedestrian .250 (11-for-44) with one of his two home runs against southpaws this year. Aside from speed (14 stolen bases) and runs (45), Frelick doesn't offer much for fantasy managers, although he does have a decent .342 on-base percentage. With Christian Yelich (back) potentially missing the rest of the year, Frelick should be in Milwaukee's lineup regularly against right-handed pitchers the rest of the way.
