Sal Frelick Begins Baseball Activities
1 year agoMilwaukee Brewers outfield prospect Sal Frelick (thumb) is making progress in his recovery from a thumb sprain. The outfielder is currently doing baseball activities, with manager Craig Counsell reporting that he is hitting off a tee and soft toss. The Brewers expect Frelick to return to the field by the third week of June. The second-ranked prospect wasn't performing well before his injury, slashing .232/.317/.321 with six runs, three RBI, and four stolen bases in 15 games for Triple-A Nashville. While Frelick will need until July to make his major-league debut, he is worth stashing in deeper leagues for his speed and solid hit tool.
