Saints Use Their Last Pick On Tommy Stevens
5 years agoWith the 240th overall pick of the 2020 NFL Draft in the seventh round, the New Orleans Saints took Mississippi State quarterback Tommy Stevens. Is he the next Tom Brady? No. Is he the successor to Drew Brees? Probably not. Stevens had the looks of a swiss-army knife in his time at Penn State before he transferred, but he's not very physical despite his size (6-foot-5, 235 pounds), and he lacks the arm to become a realistic starting option in the NFL. In 2019, Stevens threw for 1,155 yards (60.2 completion percentage), 11 touchdowns and five interceptions in nine games.
