Sacramento Kings Agree To Deal With Dewayne Dedmon
5 years agoWith Willie Cauley-Stein likely on the way out, the Sacramento Kings were in need of help at the center position. They got that on the first day of free agency, agreeing to a three-year deal to join Sacramento. Dedmon is an underrated big man who can score inside and outside, shooting 38.2 percent on 3.4 threes per game last season and also averaging 7.5 rebounds per game. Both of those skills will be useful in Sacramento, where Dedmon will form an intriguing front line with second-year power forward Marvin Bagley III. Dedmon should see a slight bump in his numbers with the Kings as he stays on the floor longer, though it’s possible Harry Giles impresses and eats a little into his minutes. Overall, though, this is a positive move for Dedmon.
