Ryon Healy Breaks Slump With Two Long Balls
6 years agoSeattle Mariners third baseman Ryon Healy ended an 0-for-19 slide at the plate with two home runs on Thursday night versus the Angels. He took Chris Stratton deep in the second for a three-run shot and then followed that up with a two-run dinger in the sixth. Healy now has five homers on the year to go along with 17 RBI and a league-leading nine doubles. With dual-position eligibility, Healy has good mixed league value with his strong power numbers, but there's more to be desired with his .232 batting average. Look for the 27-year-old to keep this momentum going over the team's weekend set against a middling Angels pitching staff.
