Ryan Yarbrough Yields Five Runs In Friday’s No-Decision
3 years agoTampa Bay Rays pitcher Ryan Yarbrough allowed five earned runs on five hits while striking out four over five innings during Friday's 10-6 win over the Orioles. He did not factor into the decision. Despite allowing five runs, the southpaw was efficient on Friday and did not walk a single batter. Yarbrough was hurt by the long ball and served up two homers to Austin Hays and Pedro Severino. The 29-year-old has struggled recently, yielding at least five runs each in three of his last four starts. He's mainly an option in deep-league formats, owning a 4.76 ERA, 1.21 WHIP, and a 98:21 K: BB across 119 innings in 2021. Yarbrough will look for better results in Wednesday's road start against the Red Sox.
