Ryan Yarbrough Picks Up The Win Tuesday
3 years agoTampa Bay Rays pitcher Ryan Yarbrough (8-4) allowed two earned runs on five hits while striking out three over six innings during Tuesday's 8-5 victory over the Boston Red Sox. He didn't walk anyone and picked up his eighth win of the year on Tuesday. The southpaw limited the Red Sox offense to two runs and exited after 78 pitches. His biggest mistake was surrendering a solo blast to Red Sox outfielder Kyle Schwarber in the sixth inning. Yarbrough has now allowed two earned runs or less in each of his last three starts. The 29-year-old owns a 4.50 ERA, 1.17 WHIP, and a 104:23 K: BB over 134 innings in 2021. Yarbrough can be used as a streamer in Sunday's home matchup against the Minnesota Twins.
