Ryan Weber Recalled By Mariners On Sunday
3 years agoSeattle Mariners relief pitcher Ryan Weber was recalled from Triple-A on Sunday, according to Daniel Kramer of MLB.com. Weber was claimed off waivers from Milwaukee a week ago, after tossing one scoreless inning of relief for the Brewers. It was only his second appearance of the year, which went much better than his first appearance when he was still with the Red Sox, where he allowed 11 runs on 13 hits and two walks in 5 2/3 innings of work. He's looked better at Triple-A this year, posting a 4.75 ERA, 1.373 WHIP and 23.8 percent strikeout rate over 47 1/3 innings pitched. One can hope that he will be able to turn things around in Seattle, but until he shows improvement, there's no reason to have him rostered in any format.
