Ryan Webb Tosses Third Straight Scoreless Start
4 months agoOn Sunday, July 28, Cleveland Guardians starting pitching prospect Ryan Webb struck out eight batters over 6 2/3 scoreless innings for Double-A Akron. In his last three outings (17 innings), the 25-year-old lefty has allowed no runs, nine hits, and five walks, all while notching 20 strikeouts. Through 101 2/3 innings in 2024, he has a 2.57 ERA, 1.21 WHIP, and 110:38 K:BB. A former fourth-rounder from the University of Georgia, Webb has plenty of upside. On top of that, the Guardians are among the best organizations at developing young starting pitchers. With that in mind, Webb is worth monitoring in dynasty leagues.
