Ryan Weathers Picks Up No-Decision
7 months agoMiami Marlins starting pitcher Ryan Weathers tossed five innings in a no-decision against the St. Louis Cardinals on Thursday. The lefty tossed five innings and allowed three hits, three runs, three walks and struck out six. The six strikeouts are nice and he now has 11 on the season in nine innings, but the walks are a red flag with five to date. Weather is a former prized pitching prospect who came over from the San Diego Padres this offseason and will be heavily counted out with the Marlins dealing with a massive number of injuries in their pitching department. If Weather can limit the walks, he can be useful in deeper leagues. He will look to limit baserunners in his next start against the New York Yankees on Wednesday.
