Ryan Weathers Lasts Four Innings In Sunday Start
4 years agoSan Diego Padres pitcher Ryan Weathers lasted four innings and permitted two earned runs in a start Sunday against the St. Louis Cardinals. The rookie left-hander survived a rocky first frame, settling down after serving a two-run homer to third baseman Nolan Arenado. He yielded four total hits over 69 pitches while striking out and walking none. Weathers continues to operate in a hybrid role, making four starts out of nine appearances, owning a solid 1.37 ERA, 0.76 WHIP and 21 percent strikeout rate in 26 ⅓ innings. The 21-year-old holds marginal fantasy value in redraft formats but could be utilized as an anchor for ratios despite modest statcast signals. His next outing will likely come this weekend against the Seattle Mariners.
