Ryan Tepera Traded To White Sox
3 years agoChicago Cubs relief pitcher Ryan Tepera has been traded to the Chicago White Sox for pitcher Bailey Horn, the White Sox announced on Twitter Thursday. The White Sox get the bullpen upgrade that they needed in Tepera, who has been one of the best relievers in baseball over the last two years with a 3.23 ERA, 0.984 WHIP and 31.9 percent strikeout rate over 64 innings since 2020. While he won't be vying for saves with Liam Hendriks firmly entrenched as the team's closer, Tepera should see a boost in value in SV/HLD formats now that he has a better lineup behind him. Horn was a fifth round pick by the White Sox in last year's draft, and over 38 1/3 innings of work this season, he has gone 2-3 with a 5.63 ERA, 1.330 WHIP and 27.3 percent strikeout rate.
