Ryan Succop Should Be Avoided In Week 1
Ryan Succop should be avoided in the Week 1 matchup against the Saints. New Orleans allowed the eighth-fewest points to the position last year, and it will be the kicker's first game with a new team, as he just signed with Tampa a week ago. Last season, Succop only appeared in six games for the Tennessee Titans and kicked a career-low 16.7 percent, making only one out of six field-goal attempts. It's worth noting that all of his misses were from beyond 40 yards.

Ryan Succop Held Off Scoreboard In Loss
Ryan Succop did not attempt a kick in the 31-14 loss to the Dallas Cowboys, as the team opted to go for a two-point conversion after both of their touchdowns. Succop had one of the worst fantasy seasons of his career, so the scoreless finale in the playoffs is a fitting end. The Buccaneers' offense wasn't good enough to yield big numbers for the veteran kicker. However, Succop's value could shift before next season if the Buccaneers' offense improves or if he's on a new team in 2023.

Ryan Succop A Risky Option For Wild-Card Weekend
Ryan Succop did not have a great regular season. The Tampa Bay veteran finished the 2022 schedule with an 81.6 percent success rate on field goals, which was his lowest since 2011. He converted only two field goals over 50 yards, missing five of his seven attempts. This Monday night, the Buccaneers face off against the Cowboys in the wild-card round. Dallas tied for the fourth most field goal attempts per game (2.4) allowed on the road this year, however, Succop has proven too inconsistent to trust. Find a better option on the waiver wire for wild-card weekend.

Ryan Succop Makes Three Kicks Versus Falcons
Ryan Succop made both of his extra point attempts and his only field goal attempt in the 30-17 loss to the Atlanta Falcons in Week 18. Succop was a hot fantasy kicker early in the season, but finishes tied for the No. 16 kicker in total fantasy points scored between Week 1 and 18. The 36-year-old veteran made 31-38 field goals and 24 of 25 extra points this season tied to an underachieving offense led by Tom Brady. The Buccaneers have a potential out on his contract this off-season, so there's a chance he could be kicking for a new team next year, or not kicking at all after his worst statistical (field goal percentage) season as a Buccaneer.

Ryan Succop Worth Avoiding In Week 18
Ryan Succop has not been a great fantasy football kicker in 2022. Through 17 weeks, he ranks 15th in his position with 127 points. He missed two of three field-goal attempts and one of two extra-point tries in Week 17's 30-24 win over the Carolina Panthers. He has reached double-digit fantasy points in only one of his last seven games. With a friendly matchup coming in Week 18 versus the Atlanta Falcons, one would think the opportunities will be there for Succop. However, based on his lack of production this season, there are zero reasons to have faith in the Tampa Bay leg man. Look for better options on the waiver wire with possible fantasy championships at stake.
