Ryan Pressly Converts First Save Of The Season Friday
2 years agoHouston Astros right-hander Ryan Pressly finally earned his first save of the season on Friday when his team beat the Atlanta Braves 6-4. He went one inning without allowing a run while walking and striking out one batter. Pressly hasn't been himself this season, as he owns a 5.40 ERA. The 34-year-old's 25.0% strikeout rate, 6.3% walk rate, and 3.70 FIP look more assuring, and given that he's recorded 71 saves from 2020-2022 with a 2.70 ERA, the Astros should continue to roll with him as their closer.
