1 year agoThe NASCAR Cup Series is heading into the 17th race of the season tonight at Nashville Superspeedway, and Ryan Preece has yet to finish better than 12th-place this year. That season-best finish came at Phoenix back in March. With that being said, it is worth noting that Preece has been finishing a little better than expected as of late. Over the last six races overall, Preece has finished 17th or better in all but one of them, and he's ended up 15th or better in four of the last eight races overall. For tonight's Ally 400 at Nashville, Preece qualified 25th and was just 23rd-fastest when it came to ten-lap average in practice. With that being said, Nashville has been kind to Preece in the Truck Series, as he had back-to-back wins here in 2021 and 2022.--Jordan McAbee
