Ryan Preece Hospitalized After Crash at Daytona
1 year agoAnother crazy wreck happened at Daytona International Speedway on Saturday night, and it left a NASCAR Cup Series driver hospitalized overnight because of it. With six laps to go in the Coke Zero Sugar 400, Ryan Preece came across the track due to contact with another car and hit the infield grass, causing his No. 41 Ford to go airborne and flip ten times. Thankfully, Preece was able to exit the car after the wreck, but he was taken to a local hospital and was kept overnight for continued observation. It was reported that Preece was awake, alert, and mobile, which is just a testament to the safety of these race cars. Additionally, Preece posted a message on social media platform X, stating, "If you want to be a race car driver, you better be tough. Dammit. ... I'm coming back."
