Ryan Preece A Sleeper Option This Weekend At Talladega
2 years agoRyan Preece has struggled (to say the least) in his return season to the NASCAR Cup Series. Through the first nine races of the year, Preece has yet to crack the top 10 finishing positions in any event, and his average result has been 24.6. He currently sits 27th in the points standings heading into this weekend's race at Talladega Superspeedway. There is some hope for Preece at Talladega, though. In six career starts at this track, he has finished 15th or better in four of them, with the other results being 18th and 32nd. In qualifying here on Saturday, Preece was 16th-fastest, so he will have decent track position to start the GEICO 500 on Sunday. After that, it's all about staying out of trouble and making it to the end to challenge for the win.
