Ryan Pepiot Set For MLB Debut On Wednesday
3 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers pitching prospect Ryan Pepiot will be called up to make his MLB debut in Wednesday's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates. The 24-year-old is rated as the team's No. 2 pitching prospect and No. 6 overall prospect by MLB Pipeline. Over six starts at Triple-A this year, he's gone 2-0 with a 2.05 ERA and 1.14 WHIP while averaging 12.3 K/9. The Dodgers currently have five healthy starting pitchers, so Pepiot may only be making a spot start on Wednesday. Regardless, he's worthy of a speculative add in many fantasy formats, particularly NL-only leagues and deep leagues of the daily lineup lock variety, where managers can utilize him in his favorable matchup against the Pirates.
