Kansas City Royals first baseman/outfielder Ryan O'Hearn is not in the lineup Tuesday to take on the Houston Astros. Emmanuel Rivera will take his spot, playing third base and batting eighth. Fantasy managers rostering him should change their lineup accordingly. Since the trade of Jorge Soler, O'Hearn has been getting the majority of reps in right field but has been a below-average hitter, slashing .240/.273/.427 and striking out 30.1% of the time. He also has nine home, 28 RBI, and 18 runs in 57 games. Although not relevant in most leagues, he does play every day and hit enough home runs to have significance in deep leagues.--Spencer Seguin

Baltimore Orioles outfielder Ryan O'Hearn had a big night in a 6-2 win over the Cleveland Guardians on Thursday. O'Hearn went 2-for-3 with a three-run homer to help propel Baltimore to the win in the series finale. His homer came in the third inning and gave the Orioles a 4-2 lead, which was all they would need to down Cleveland. O'Hearn is hitting .326 with three homers, eight runs, five RBI, and one steal across 46 at-bats. Baltimore Orioles outfielder Ryan O'Hearn went 2-for-4 with a double and a solo homer in a 5-1 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Monday. O'Hearn took Arizona starter Zac Gallen deep in the first inning to kick off the scoring in the game, giving him his first home run of the season. The veteran is off to a solid start at the plate this season, hitting .308 with four runs and one RBI through 26 at-bats. That being said, O'Hearn is going to need to produce more power to be considered as a regular fixture in fantasy lineups moving forward.--Matt T - RotoBaller

Baltimore Orioles catcher Adley Rutschman and first baseman Ryan O'Hearn are not in the starting lineup on Saturday afternoon when they face the Kansas City Royals. Rutschman will receive a maintenance day as he has started in each of the first eight games of the regular season. During the start of the campaign, Rutschman has held a .258/.343/.484 line with one double and two round trippers. He will cede catching duties to Gary Sanchez this afternoon. O'Hearn has not tallied a hit in each of his past two contests and will leave the designated hitter spot open for Gunnar Henderson. Ramon Urias will enter the lineup and cover the hot corner as well. Fantasy managers should expect Rutschman to return to the lineup on Sunday, facing southpaw Kris Bubic. The 31-year-old went 6-for-14 over the team's opening series against the Toronto Blue Jays, but he'll ride the pine as they square off against their first lefty in 2025. Ryan Mountcastle will take over at first base and bat fourth, while Heston Kjerstad will bat fifth at DH.
