Ryan O'Hearn Getting First Postseason Start Tuesday
1 year agoBaltimore Orioles first baseman/designated hitter Ryan O'Hearn is getting his first career postseason start for Tuesday's Game 3 versus the Texas Rangers and right-hander Nathan Eovaldi. The lefty-swinging O'Hearn has gone hitless with a strikeout in a pair of pinch-hitting plate appearances in the ALDS but will get the starting nod at DH out of the five-hole on Tuesday. The 30-year-old turned out to be a big addition for the Orioles this season, hitting .289 with 14 home runs, five stolen bases, and an .802 OPS across 112 games. He hasn't fared well in a small sample versus Eovaldi, going 0-for-4 with three punchouts against the veteran right-hander in his career.
