Ryan Noda Expected To Miss Three Weeks
1 year agoOakland Athletics first baseman Ryan Noda (jaw) is expected to be out for three weeks due to a fractured jaw. The 27-year-old suffered the injury after taking a ball to the face during pregame batting practice on Tuesday. He was placed on the 10-day injured list and will return to action in mid-August. Noda is slashing .229/.375/.418 with 11 home runs, 38 RBI, 43 runs, and two stolen bases over 341 plate appearances in 2023. Seth Brown should see an uptick in at-bats with Noda sidelined. Brown is mainly an option in deep-league formats after hitting .191 (33-for-190) with nine home runs and two stolen bases over 53 games in 2023.
