Ryan Nicholson Blasts First Professional Homer
4 months agoLos Angeles Angels prospect Ryan Nicholson hit the first home run of his professional career on Thursday night for Single-A Inland Empire. In two games with Inland Empire, the Angels 10th round pick out of the University of Kentucky is 3-for-5 with a homer and six RBI. It's been a nice adjustment to professional baseball for Nicholson. The 23-year-old first baseman hit 23 homers with a 1.094 OPS for Kentucky this past season. He is a proven college bat who could be an interesting name to monitor as he navigates the minor-league ranks.
