4 years agoRyan Newman starts from the eighth spot for the Blue Emu Maximum Pain Relief 500. The short track has not been quite so kind to him the past couple of seasons. He has finished tenth or worse in each case. His Roush Fenway Racing car just cannot get a run on this track to get near the front. As a matter of fact, Newman has not led a lap at Martinsville since 2015. The expectation is that he could slip down the field early and then spend the rest of the day recovering. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
