Ryan Jeffers Has Three-Hit Day
3 years agoMinnesota Twins catcher Ryan Jeffers produced the first three-hit game of his career in Friday's win over the Angels. Jeffers rapped a pair of doubles and a single, which tied the game in the eighth inning. The 24-year-old backstop was red-hot to start June but has cooled off since, sporting .203/.286/.384 slash line. Jeffers is getting a couple of extra starts with Mitch Garver on paternity leave, though he'll likely return to a backup role when the former is back in action, giving him limited fantasy value.
