Ryan Helsley Notches Sixth Save Of Season Tuesday
2 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals relief pitcher Ryan Helsley picked up his sixth save of the season in Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Marlins. Helsley came in to close things out with a two-run lead and delivered a 1-2-3 inning with three strikeouts. The 27-year-old has clearly been the team's best reliever this season, compiling a 3-0 record with two blown saves, five holds, a 12.74 K/9 rate, and a minuscule 0.30 ERA. Despite this, he has been on the back half of a closing timeshare with Giovanny Gallegos, who pitched the eighth inning in this game. This makes Helsley slightly less attractive in roto leagues, but he certainly does hold fantasy value in all leagues at this time.
