Ryan Helsley Gets Lit Up On Sunday
4 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals relief pitcher Ryan Helsley had a rough outing in Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Reds. He recorded just one out, but allowed four runs on two hits and two walks. Helsley was the first man out of the bullpen after starter Carlos Martinez pitched the first five innings of the game. The sixth inning ended up being a complete mess for St. Louis though, as Helsley and Tyler Webb combined to allow six runs. Helsley seems stuck in a middle relief role for now and won't have much fantasy value unless he works his way into more significant innings.
