Ryan Fox A Boom-Or-Bust Play At Mexican Open
1 day agoRyan Fox has played in just one PGA event this year, finishing T63 at the WM Phoenix Open. He now turns his attention to the Mexican Open, an event he has played in only once, missing the cut last year. At 7,456 yards, Vidanta Vallarta is a course that requires length off the tee and strong long-iron play. Fox ranked 20th on tour in driving distance in 2024 (310.9 yards), but he's in just the 21st percentile for greens in regulation from 200-plus yards, a range that accounted for 43.3% of all approach shots at this event last year. Fox also ranked eighth on tour last year in par-three scoring, averaging 2.98 strokes per hole. With five par-threes on this course, this could play to Fox's advantage. At a price tag of $8,000 on DraftKings, fantasy managers should proceed with caution before inserting Fox into their lineups.
