Ryan Fitzpatrick To Be Placed On Injured Reserve
3 years agoWashington Football Team quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick (hip) underwent an MRI on Monday, which revealed a hip subluxation. He is expected to be placed on the injured reserve and miss at least the next three weeks. It's unclear if the move will be season-ending at this time. The earliest Fitzpatrick can return is Week 5 against the New Orleans Saints on October 10. Taylor Heinicke was named the team's starting quarterback for Thursday's Week 2 matchup against the New York Giants. Kyle Allen will serve as Heinicke's backup. Washington will get the Giants, Buffalo Bills, and the Atlanta Falcons in the next three games. Fantasy managers in two-quarterback/Superflex leagues can add Heinicke off the waiver wire.
