Ryan Brasier Now On The 60-Day Injured List
6 months agoThe Los Angeles Dodgers moved right-handed reliever Ryan Brasier (calf) to the 60-day injured list on June 13. Brasier pulled his right calf muscle while doing some sprinting as part of his regular warmups before the game on April 29 against the Arizona Diamondbacks and was put on the 15-day IL. An MRI exam on April 30 showed that the strain was mild. However, manager Dave Roberts said on May 31 that Brasier has been playing catch but remained "a ways out" from returning. The 36-year-old veteran will be eligible to return at the end of June, but it wouldn't be a surprise if he's held out longer, possibly until the second half of the season. Brasier made 12 appearances (one start) in his first year in LA before getting hurt, allowing six earned runs on 10 hits (three homers) while walking three and fanning 12 in 11 2/3 innings.
