Ryan Borucki Recovering Without Setbacks
5 years agoToronto Blue Jays manager Charlie Montoyo updated the status of reliever Ryan Borucki (elbow) in a conference call on Thursday, stating he "feels great ... no setbacks." The left-hander missed the majority of the 2019 campaign with an elbow injury and underwent surgery last August to remove bone spurs from his throwing arm. After experiencing soreness at the beginning of spring training in February, Borucki has progressed slowly back to health, and it appears that he'll be ready for action whenever the season begins. The 26-year-old figures to hold a spot in the Jays bullpen, but could find some opportunities as a starter where he would only find fantasy value as a streaming option.
