Ryan Borucki Implodes Again
6 years agoToronto Blue Jays starter Ryan Borucki was pitching fine until the fifth inning during Wednesday's 10-5 loss to the Baltimore Orioles. After allowing three singles to load the bases, Orioles outfielder Adam Jones smoked a grand slam off of Borucki that effectively ended his night. Borucki went 4 2/3 innings allowing five runs on eight hits while striking out two batters. Luckily, Borucki escaped with a no-decision to keep his record at an even 3-3 on the year to go along with an inflated 4.52 ERA and 1.54 WHIP. He serves as a high-risk streaming option for managers in deeper leagues.
