Russell Knox Plays Better At Difficult Courses
6 years agoRussell Knox has historically played better at more difficult courses, and we think there are a few reasons for that being the case. For starters, Knox's lack of scoring and putting aren't as directly affected when the winning score is 10-under par or less. In a birdie shootout, those are two things that can quickly put you behind the eight-ball, but in a more difficult event, the Scottish golfer's superb proximity numbers and propensity for bogey avoidance can shine through. Knox has struggled at PGA National in the past two seasons, but two top-three finishes in 2014 and 2015 highlight the fact that he is capable of competing at the 'Bear Trap.'
