Russell Henley Brings Hot Putter To Memphis
1 year agoRussell Henley has used the last two months to prove that he's one of the most consistent iron players in the game, especially from longer distances. The Georgia Bulldog has eclipsed four strokes gained on approach in four of his last six outings. When he's consistently doing that, one strong putting week is all it takes to boost him to the top of the leaderboard, and that's exactly what Henley did this past week, logging a runner-up finish at the Wyndham Championship after gaining an incredible 9.6 strokes with the putter. Surely Henley won't be able to duplicate that performance at TPC Southwind, and course history suggest a negative regression is in store as well, but if he can hover in the two-to-three strokes gained range, a top-15 finish could be coming. That form and consistency of late paired with experience playing this track presents plenty of value for Henley at $7,800 on DraftKings.
