Russell Henley A Course Horse At Sony Open
20 hours agoFantasy managers would be hard-pressed to find a golfer with better course history at Waialae Country Club than Russell Henley. The current OWGR No. 17 won the Sony Open in 2013, and his last four starts here have resulted in finishes of T11, solo second place, T32, and T4 last year. He's impressively gained an average of 6.6 strokes from tee-to-green and 2.7 strokes putting in those starts, and he's only lost strokes off-the-tee once in his 12 career starts here. Henley is a prolific cut-maker as well, having only missed one cut since the start of the 2024 calendar year. He wasn't overly impressive with a T30 result at The Sentry last week, but Waialae Country Club has historically been kind to golfers who teed off the prior week at Kapalua. Fantasy managers should not be surprised to see Henley in contention for his fifth PGA Tour win come Sunday evening.
