7 years agoUtah Jazz center Rudy Gobert put up a solid line in his clubs 116-108 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder in game 1 of the series. Gobert connected on an efficient 6-of-8 from the floor, finishing with 14 points to go along with seven rebounds. Gobert was only able to add two blocks to his line and missed four of his six attempts at the free throw line. Gobert had some struggles in his two games that he suited up in this season against Steven Adams and it continued somewhat in this game. Adams is quite physical and it seems to bother the French big man and Utah needs Gobert to dominate in the middle in this series if Utah is to have a chance.--Gianni Costantiello

Gobert made his return to the court on Sunday after missing the previous 10 games due to a lower back injury. He registered 16 points, eight rebounds, and two assists across 20 minutes of action during that game. The Wolves are likely going to ease him back into his normal role. If he sits on Wednesday, Naz Reid and Luka Garza would likely see increased roles in the rotation. Gobert has missed the last 10 games due to a lingering back issue. That being said, it's uncertain if the Wolves plan to limit Gobert during his first game back. His return will shift Naz Reid back to the bench on Sunday. However, Reid might still see decent playing time with Gobert likely facing some restrictions. The multi-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year is currently carrying a questionable tag after missing the last 10 games because of a back injury. Naz Reid has been handling things in the middle. But even if Gobert is cleared to suit up, he hasn't played in nearly a month, meaning he may be limited.
