San Antonio Spurs forward Rudy Gay produced the game-winning shot on Tuesday against Phoenix, nailing a 21-foot jumper at the buzzer to make it 126-124. He finished the game with 16 points, five rebounds, five assists, one steal, and one block. Gay shot 7-for-17 from the field and made both of his free throws. The 13-year veteran will be a handful for Brooklyn next. Gay has averaged 17 points with 6.8 rebounds and 3.2 assists across the last five games. He's shooting over 50 percent from the field and logging some extra minutes with DeMar DeRozan (knee) out.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Atlanta Hawks forward Rudy Gay isn't expected to play for the team following his arrival from Utah in the John Collins deal. Lauren Williams of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution has reported that the Hawks are looking to trade the veteran, and if a favorable move can't be worked out, Atlanta will likely waive Gay. With 17 NBA seasons under his belt, Gay is clearly past his best, and he posted career-low numbers across the board last season. He will be 37 in August and will likely settle for a bench role if another team decides to pick him up, meaning Gay's fantasy appeal is set to remain marginal.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Utah Jazz forward Rudy Gay (illness) has been listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Grizzlies. The veteran is battling an illness and could be out for only the second time in 2023. Gay is playing a very limited role for the Jazz, averaging fewer than 15 minutes per game, and his absence likely won't affect the team too much. Although with Lauri Markkanen (knee) also possibly out, there would suddenly be a nice chunk of minutes available for others if both players end up sitting out the game. Ochai Agbaji, Talen Horton-Tucker, Simone Fontecchio and Juan Toscano-Anderson are all candidates to pick up more work.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Utah Jazz forward Rudy Gay (health and safety protocols) won't play on Friday against the Denver Nuggets. The 36-year-old has averaged only 5.8 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.2 assists this season, so his absence won't mean much for fantasy managers. However, it may indirectly open up some playing time for Collin Sexton, who has logged just 17 minutes per game in 2022-23, giving him a brighter outlook in all formats.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller

Utah Jazz forward Rudy Gay (illness) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Phoenix Suns. The veteran forward hasn't played in nearly a month due to a knee issue and now an illness. Eric Paschall and Danuel House Jr. have been benefiting without Gay on the court. However, they don't see enough minutes to warrant rostering in most fantasy formats. Gay is a decent low-end streaming option when healthy, but he might not play 20-plus minutes anymore. The Jazz roster is getting healthy again, which could mean less minutes for Gay when he does return.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
