2 years agoMinnesota Twins No. 2 prospect Royce Lewis (knee) is preparing to begin a minor-league rehab assignment next month. This is encouraging progress for the former first overall draft pick, whose initial taste of the big leagues was cut prematurely by an ACL tear in 2022. Though his MLB service time was brief, Lewis posted a .300/.317/.550 slash line through 12 games, including two home runs and five doubles. There's plenty of reason to believe his game will translate well at the next level, though the knee injury's impact on his 70-grade speed remains to be seen. Lewis expects to resurface in the majors sometime this summer, so fantasy managers in deeper leagues should already be stashing him if he's available.--Kevin Hickey - RotoBaller
