Royce Lewis' Rehab Assignment Moves To Triple-A St. Paul
2 years agoMinnesota Twins No. 2 prospect Royce Lewis (knee) will have his rehab assignment continue with Triple-A St. Paul. The move follows a two-game stint at Double-A Wichita, which saw Lewis record two hits in six at-bats. The former first overall draft pick is working his way back from an ACL tear but figures to assume an everyday playing role with the Twins in the near future. Before his injury, Lewis impressed during his first taste of the big leagues last season, slashing .300/.317/.550 with two home runs over 12 games. He won't be eligible for activation from the 60-day injured list until the end of the month, at which point the Twins will decide whether to promote Lewis.
