Royce Lewis Ready For A Rehab Assignment
2 years agoMinnesota Twins utility man Royce Lewis (knee) is set to begin a rehab assignment with Double-A Wichita on May 11, according to MLB.com, before eventually joining Triple-A St. Paul to finish the assignment. The 23-year-old has yet to play in 2023 after sustaining an ACL tear in May of last season but is close to returning and should be back by the end of this month. In his limited playing time during 2022, Lewis slashed .300/.317/.550 with two homers, five runs, and five RBI across 12 games. When the Twins top prospect is back, fantasy managers should expect to see him in an everyday role, likely all around the diamond, providing decent power and speed if the injury doesn't affect him long-term.
