Royce Freeman Eyeing Week 11 Return
6 years agoDenver Broncos head coach Vance Joseph said the team is looking to get rookie running back Royce Freeman (ankle) back after the Week 10 bye. Freeman suffered a high ankle sprain in Week 7 and was expected to miss several weeks, so he should be able to return against the Chargers following the bye, barring any setbacks. His return on early downs as a between-the-tackles runner will limit the upside of Phillip Lindsay as an RB2. Devontae Booker would go back to fighting for scraps behind the two rookies. Wide receiver Daesean Hamilton (knee) is also hoping to return after the bye and could be involved in three-receiver sets behind Emmanuel Sanders and Courtland Sutton.
