Royce Freeman Efficient but Limited in Broncos Loss
6 years agoDenver Broncos running back Royce Freeman averaged 6.2 yards per carry Sunday afternoon against the New York Jets. Problem is, Denver trailed 21-10 at halftime and Freeman saw just one carry in the second half - finishing the day with five carries for 31 yards and adding three receptions for 16. The lack of touches were surprising as earlier in the week head coach Vance Joseph said Freeman's performance this season had earned him some additional work. But, once again, Freeman was out-touched by Phillip Lindsay - which has been the case in every game this season which Lindsay played all four quarters.
